Description

Advanced Motion Controls is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support our Design Verification Test team for verification of industrial analog and digital motor drives including our power supply products with mixed signal interfaces and communication ports.

Required Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and preparation of electronic assemblies.
  • Probing and measuring small and large signals.
  • Building/crimping cables and harnesses.
  • Soldering and rework of SMT boards.
  • Troubleshooting and characterization of new designs.
  • Implement procedures to verify hardware designs.
  • Thermocouple placement and thermal profiles of new and existing designs.
  • Acquire and organize results so that design engineers can review.
  • Participate in the design processes for the testing of new designs.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on new designs.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience as an Electronics Technician.
  • Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, hi-pot testers, and temperature scanners.
  • Ability to analyze circuits from schematics.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Physical requirements: Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
  • This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo, CA facility, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.  Overtime may be required.
  • We are ITAR registered.  Hired candidate must be a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Required Education:

  • Minimum: ASEE, ASCE or equivalent degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Design Verification Testing (DVT) experience a plus.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, EtherCat, etc.
  • Data Acquisition operation and programming skills.
  • Programming skills:  C#, C++, VBA, or VB.Net.

Pay Range:       $25 to $33 per hour.
